Our Parlour

  • The Lavery (1st floor) 2 Cromwell Place London, England, SW7 2JE United Kingdom (map)

For play, for joy, for memory! At this year’s London Design Festival, within the bustling Brompton Design District curated by Alex Tieghi-Walker, Homenkà & friends invite you to Our Parlour

Hosted by four Igbo women ~ Zoë Chinonso Ene, Chinasa Chukwu (Mmetu), Christina Nwabugo (Object and Theory) and Ogochukwu Igwilo (Ogoisfooding) ~ Our Parlour is an immersive space built from the memories of the parlours we grew up in: a space to gist, gather, laugh, play, and remember, around cherished everyday design.

A selection of Nchọ boards will be available in the space to play with (and take home), alongside vessels by Chinasa, photography by Christina and a culinary programme by Ogochukwu. Swing by during the week for games nights, conversations, workshops, performance, vinyl sets, communal dining or just to chill on the couch.

Programming details and RSVP links shared soon!

With house guests: DJ Dare Balogun (Roots to Rhythm), Arjun Singh Assa, & Amandine Forest-Aguié

Branding / Graphic Identity: Amandine Forest-Aguié of Malice Studios
